Thanks for putting these invitation boards together! They are beautiful concepts, but I don’t think either is really capturing what I’m looking for, so maybe that was my poor description. These lean really far into romantic and don’t read very contemporary (at least to me). I thought we discussed moving away from water color since we already did it with the save the dates. I think the watercolor might be what is pushing this in a different direction. I also don’t love the accent of green (although I certainly understand why you picked it giving our wedding design!). I really want neutral tones with different texture, fitting into more of a stacked envelope than a pochette. I also do not love the blind embossing, so we can rule that out. I like the square card shape more than the rounded edge. I also think the fonts are too traditional and not contemporary enough for what I’m thinking I’m adding some inspo into the website – there isn’t one that I want to replicate exactly, but hoping it gives you some greater insight into what I’m thinking. Thank you!
thanks! That makes sense and I will revise these and stick to neutrals only – no green and no watercolor! Looking at the calligrapher portfolios, are there any styles you like?
