Postage Options

  1. Thank you so much, Alyssa! Beautifully stunning as always. I’m hosting a party tonight and a shower tomorrow and have a wedding tomorrow night, but promise to have my edits to the main invite copy on Monday.

A few initial thoughts to keep things moving along . . .

~ We would like to go with Concept 2.

~ The maroon with this design is stunning, but Bentley really doesn’t like the maroon, b/c as we shared earlier, it just screams too “Aggie” to her. (She did fall in love with one, though.(-:) Could a deep, rich purple or light plum or mulberry work? (I’ll email you a light plum sample I saw. Purple would be my preference though b/c not as feminine.) Maybe you could show us a couple of options? I know finding velvet ribbon in the color may be the trickiest part. I’m happy to look at samples somewhere.

~ Are you recommending a black or dark gray edge? I couldn’t tell from the digital image.

~ Could wax initial read B&R (or with some other small detail between the letters)? I was confused what B.R. meant.

~ On the reception card, please eliminate “Seated” and I think we can remove “The Mason” too since “to follow” implies we’ll be staying at the same place if no other location is listed. Other copy fonts and spacing will probably need to be adjusted b/c of these two modifications.

~ On reply card, can you make “kindly” and “reply by” the same size font, and move the “by January 10th” over to the left a bit? It looks off-center compared to the “kindly reply by” copy block. And move the entire copy block and the lines either a little closer together or further apart? Something about the vertical spacing looks not quite right to me.

~ What do you think about printing the back of the reception card with the same design that’s along the edges? Would that significantly increase our cost?

~ For stamps, I could go either way. Love your proposed combos! Guess we can decide that once we know how much postage will be required. And then you’ll need to let me know where to order them.

~ Will we own the actual seal and be able to use it? Was thinking that could be fun to attach escort cards to The Mason’s large freestanding mirror using this wax seal.

~ And you’re confident if we place this invite in a clear, sealed sleeve that the post office will accept it and it will be deliverable? Have any other Dallas brides had success with this method?

    Happy Friday and Weekend!

    Betsy
