Invitation, Round 1
Invitations, Round 2
I am showing you options with the envelope flap outlined, all seams outlined and kept the tan velvet in the mix — I really like the soft contrast it adds. Showing the green velvet as well!

I absolutely love the rounded flap on the envelope and liner! Everything with the invitation looks fantastic! The only major tweaks I’d like to consider are the liner and potentially the wax seal. Please see my notes below:
Invitation
Could we see how “Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hunt Benoist, senior” would look in script/calligraphy, smaller than the bride and groom’s names? We’re aiming for something similar to the Carlile formal invitation.
Reception Card
Please update the text to: “Please join us for cocktails, dinner, & dancing”. Also, could you adjust the font size of “half-past four o’clock” to match the size of “Black Tie”?
Ribbon
I’d like to explore different textures, perhaps a raw silk ribbon. Could you help pull any ivory option that complements the invitation’s color palette? Open to any creative ideas you might have!
Liner
The current floral pattern feels a bit too “shabby chic” for me. Could we explore using the same floral design from the save the date, perhaps adjusting the pinks/reds to gold tones? I’d also be intrigued to see an option incorporating the blind embossed combo effect. A few different approaches would be great for refining the look. Again, open to your creativity here.
Wax Seal
I’m thinking we might consider making the wax seal a peony from the liner design—or I’m open to any other creative ideas you might have!
Stamps
I’ve gone a little overboard collecting an assortment of Oscar de la Renta stamps and vintage postage! With your approval, I’d love to move forward with a curated mix of these. I’ll send you a rough sample of what I’ve gathered and can show you in person—I think you’ll really like the selection!
Invitation
Potentially make the “Dallas, Texas” in the script/calligraphy too. Same size as parent’s names.
Thank you Alyssa! It’s looking great. I love the revised liner & gold on the envelope. Hate to ask but can I see the #2 invitation with Mr. & Mrs GHB in block print leaving everything else as is? Still not sure on ribbon color.
I love this!! Thank you SO much!
– Love the liner artwork!
– Love the new scripts for Caroline and Oke
– Love the seams and reply card with the gold border
– Leaning towards green ribbon
– Leaning towards Option 2 for the reception card
– If doing block print for Mr. And Mrs. GHB, can we keep Dallas, Texas in script?
I updated with 2 more variations on the calligraphy on the invitation. I prefer the balance of script detail top and bottom or block lettering top & bottom to the version with just Dallas in script, but let me know your thoughts!
Let’s do the script for “Mr. And Mrs. GHB” and “Dallas, Texas”. I agree it needs to be balanced. I like that you can see that script when everything is nested together.
Absolutely love our invitations!
Below are our final selections:
Reception Card: Option 2, without “Please Join Us”
Invitation: Script for both “Mr. and Mrs. GHB, Sr.” and “Dallas, Texas”
Outer Envelope: Gold foil outlining the back flap & return address text
Ribbon: If possible, we’d like to order both the taupe and green velvet. We’ll decide after seeing them with the finished invitation. We’re also considering incorporating whichever color we don’t use into the Rehearsal Dinner or Day-of pieces.
Just confirming—should we send half of the presented total as our deposit? Let me know your thoughts!
Best,
Caroline
Beautiful Alyssa! I just want to make sure that we are getting the “letter press/de-boss” look we are looking for. Also, which pieces of the invitation package will be letter press/de-boss?
Yes! We are letterpress/debossing the invitation, reply card, and reception card. The outer envelope & reply envelope have some limitations due to paper thickness, but if they can have a bit of deboss, they will.
